Only wealthy participants who have a suitable car should apply to participate in Gumball 3000.
The main items are given below:
- There are no categories between the different cars and the capacity of participators is limited to 120 cars.
- The day of registration the cars are expected to be spotless and clean and have the decals of the event's sponsors properly placed on the car.
- Entrance fee for the upcoming event in 2006: 40.000 British Pounds for new participators, 30.000 for gumballers who have already joined one of the previous events. Compared to former events the entrance fee for 2006 is almost 3 times as high as normal. This is due to the very special formula of 2006. In this episode participants travel through 3 continents.
Terms of condition of entry:
- The gumball rally is a non-competitive event.Appropriate attention must be paid to personal safety and that of other participants, spectators and the general public.
- Participants must be over 21 of age.
- Participants must comply with the laws of the country they are driving in. Naturally, this includes respecting speed regulations, vehicle safety, and the Highway Code. All forms of alcohol and drug abuse are prohibited.
- When in hotels act appropriately. Any damage is the personal liability of a participant. A credit-card is required at the check-in as security.
- Personal expenditures are not included in the entrance fee.
- Tiredness kills and driving when exhausted or medically unfit can constitute criminal negligence.
- Participants must be holders of a current, valid and unrestricted driver’s license and a current and valid passport and the relevant required visa(s).
- Proof of appropriate insurance cover is required. This includes, without limitation, third party liability, liability for personal cover, including medical, damage to property and life insurance.
- Rally and sponsorship stickers must be displayed and kept clean throughout the race.
- Personal sponsorship is possible with the organizer’s prior written consent. The organizer reserves the right to refuse any unauthorized sponsored vehicles or individuals entry to the event.
- No refunds will be given at any time in the event. However, if 6 month prior to the event, a participant has to withdraw, a full refund is given. A full refund minus £1000 administrative costs.
- Violation of the terms can result in prohibition from the current and any further Gumball events.
- The organizer reserves the right to refuse participation or to cancel the event at any time for any reason whatsoever. In case of cancellation or refusal to participate no refunds of entree fee will be made.
- The Organizer reserves the right to change these terms and conditions subject to notification. Participants are deemed to have accepted the amended terms and conditions by participating in the Event.
- These terms and conditions and participation in the event are governed by English law, and participants submit to the jurisdiction of the Courts of England.
